We’re excited to welcome Jeremias “JMan” Maneiro, Chief Edutainment Officer of JMan AI in Rochester, New York, and creator of AI-Cademy and New York State’s first AI Bootcamp, as our guest today. Jeremias is a speaker, MC, event planner, and AI trainer with years of experience across the events industry.
Tune in as he explains how to use AI to create better conference experiences and engagement, organize your business, save time, and identify tasks that should be automated or delegated. You will also learn how to choose the right AI strategist and ensure that your own voice and personality remain part of everything you create.
Jeremias’s Journey
Jeremias began his career in real estate, where his technology knowledge led to training opportunities. His work grew from local to regional and national events, leading to MCing. He then began producing his own events and booking speakers, gaining experience in training, speaking, event planning, and hosting. When AI became more widely used in 2022, he began applying it to improve event experiences and build systems for his business.
Better Conference Experiences
Start by understanding the event, the audience, the speakers, and what people should walk away with. Knowing each speaker’s style, energy, and timing helps you create an experience that leaves attendees having learned something and wanting to return.
Between Sessions
Conferences can lose their energy between sessions, even when the presentations are good. So you need to pay attention to whether people are engaged and excited about what comes next. If the energy drops, introduce activities, adjust the schedule, or ask the next speaker to bring more energy.
Be Flexible
Build flexibility into your run of show and have a plan for when things go wrong. AI can help you adjust when speakers run over time, or the schedule falls behind. You can also personalize walk-up music to reflect a speaker’s favorite genre or presentation theme.
Use AI During Events
Give AI the event details, explain what has happened, where the schedule stands, and what needs attention. It can suggest ways to manage delays, restore energy, and keep the rest of the day on track. The value comes from putting those recommendations into practice.
Increase Engagement
Rather than asking attendees to put their phones away, use them to boost engagement. Have people scan QR codes, take pictures, make videos, or run prompts. Learning through action helps people move from theory to implementation and adoption.
Command Center
Use a scheduled AI task to prepare your daily agenda, prioritize important work, and identify what you can postpone or delegate. Schedule personal commitments first, then organize your business priorities around them. Focus your time on the tasks that matter most to you and your business.
Delegate Tasks
Identify tasks you are not good at or don’t enjoy. After a travel-booking mistake cost him an additional $835, Jeremias created a system in which his AI agent sends event details to his virtual assistant, who manages travel arrangements. This frees him to focus on planning and working events.
Save Time
You cannot follow every new AI platform. Use a scheduled task to identify the developments most relevant to your business and clarify why they matter. Prioritize tools that solve recurring problems or eliminate tasks.
More Context
Provide AI access to your calendar, recent schedule, business priorities, mission, vision, and brand voice. It can identify ways to organize your time, combine activities, establish routines, and delegate tasks. The goal is to make it easier to decide where to begin each day.
Hire Help
You can implement AI systems yourself or hire someone with the right expertise. Consider whether learning a skill yourself will cost you more time than hiring someone who already knows what to do. An AI strategist can assess your current processes and develop a customized solution.
The Right AI Strategist
Look for someone who asks questions about your objectives and current processes before recommending solutions. A good strategist investigates the bottlenecks limiting your business and identifies ways to improve capacity and scale without necessarily growing your workforce.
A New Front Door
AI is becoming a new front door to your business. If people cannot find your business through AI searches, they may assume you don’t exist, or you’re not very good at what you do. Establish clear house rules for AI use, because inappropriate output can damage your company’s reputation and credibility.
Keep Your Own Voice
Don’t simply copy and paste AI output. Give AI examples of your writing, speaking, and content so that it can reflect your brand voice and personality. Your human aspect needs to shine through because that is part of why clients choose you.
AI Models for Different Tasks
Different AI models have different strengths. One system may be better at generating images, while another may produce better graphics or written content. An AI system that can select the appropriate model for each task could use one model for image generation and another for graphics or copywriting, depending on which produces the better results.
Takeaway
Start by identifying what takes up your time and what limits your business. Give AI the context it needs, focus on tools that solve real problems, delegate tasks that don’t require your expertise, and maintain your own voice in everything you create.
